The slow pace of Canada’s east coast allows you to really appreciate its coastal trails and quaint small town communities. Some highlights were hiking in the Cape Breton Highlands on a windy, but gorgeous day, exploring the unique geology of the Bay of Fundy, and visiting the iconic lighthouse at Peggy’s Cove. As a longtime fan of L.M. Montgomery, visiting Green Gables in P.E.I. was also a treat. The Blue Mussel Cafe in North Rustico is another little treasure for those looking for a local, delicious meal by the seaside.
