Peru is the destination to visit if one is looking to explore a country rich in history, culture, and natural wonders. We started our journey by wandering along the cloudy shores of Lima and the artsy streets of Barranco. We then moved on to Arequipa and enjoyed its lively plazas and intricate colonial architecture. Of course, it would have been a crime to go to Peru without paying a visit to its renowned Machu Pichu. Trekking along the Andean range and reaching this Incan citadel offered lush mountainside views and insight into the ancient civilization that resided there long before us tourists ever stepped foot onto their land.
